Written by Mills James | Oct 1, 2025 12:00:05 PM

For Anthony Semerano, success starts with listening. His career began in audio engineering, where he honed an ear for detail in the studio. Today, as a Business Development Specialist in our Cleveland office, Anthony applies that same skill to understanding client needs and shaping solutions that go beyond expectations. Recently promoted into his role, he takes pride in providing concierge-level service for both clients and colleagues, a commitment that makes him a standout member of our team. Outside of work, you’ll often find Anthony recording and mixing music in his home studio, going to concerts, or spending time with family and friends. From building client partnerships to pursuing creative passions, he brings the same energy, creativity, and care to everything he does.

How long have you been at Mills James?

I joined Mills James in May of 2024.

What has kept you here?

Having been at my previous job for multiple years, I felt that it was time to pursue something new. When I came to Mills James, I was able to join an already wonderful team and immediately begin to make a difference. Within a year, having gained immense leadership skills from our very own Mike Tyson, I now lead a team in our Cleveland office.

Where were you before Mills James?

Prior to Mills James, I studied at the University of Dayton. After I graduated, I worked in audio engineering as a part-time Lead Studio Engineer in Northfield, OH, and as a full-time Audio Department Director in Solon, OH.

What is the most fulfilling part of working with clients?

I take immense pride and feel an overwhelming sense of joy when I am able to provide concierge-level service for our clients and on-site team.

We are able to offer many solutions for our clients. How do you determine the best plan of action?

Listen! The client oftentimes will lay out exactly what they are looking for while describing previous pain points. As the dedicated account representative, it is my job to understand the nuances of those pain points and direct a course of action to the client that they may not have been aware we even offered. Although it is a little cliche, we are truly a one-stop shop and are able to offer a full portfolio of services, which is unique in our industry.

What do you like to do outside of work?

I enjoy recording and mixing music with my friends at my home studio, going to concerts, helping my good friend AJ with his DJing over the weekends, spending time with family and friends, and traveling

Is there a particular project or client that stands out for you?

Jack in the Box is a client that stands out. I met my contact there as a cold introduction at an event conference, and it has since morphed into a wonderful partnership with her and her team. I love when I have the opportunity to really develop a relationship with clients and this was the perfect example of a fun show with a fantastic team.
