Mills James Mexico Celebrates Five Years with RESET Event

On May 29, 2026, Mills James Mexico celebrated its fifth anniversary the way it knows best: by creating an experience.
Reset was an immersive online celebration designed to demonstrate how technology can be used to tell stories, evoke emotions, and connect audiences across the world.Four DJs performed across four custom-designed environments, shaping a live, evolving mix of music, lighting, and atmosphere.
Through these four chapters, RESET explored the idea that audiovisual production should not serve as mere decoration. When there is a clear narrative, each visual element becomes a tool to guide emotions and infuse meaning into every moment.
Technology alone does not create memorable experiences. Stories do.
DJ Felix: A Hindu Wedding Told Through Color
The program began with DJ Felix and a narrative inspired by the rituals of a Hindu wedding.
Traditional Mehndi mandalas were the visual thread throughout the set, constantly transforming to accompany each stage of the story.
The story began with the characteristic yellow tones of the Haldi ceremony, inspired by turmeric and associated with purification and new beginnings. The color palette then evolved into vibrant bursts that reflected the joy and energy of pre-wedding celebrations, and the visual intensity of traditions such as the Baraat.
Finally, the visual narrative adopted red tones, the traditional symbol of Hindu marriage, representing the union of the couple and the beginning of a new chapter together.
Beyond aesthetics, each color carried emotional meaning, helping tell a story that remained understandable even to those unfamiliar with these traditions.
Albert: Celebrating the Passage of Time
The second performance was inspired by one of nature’s most powerful contrasts: the transition between light and darkness.
Under the concept "Drums from Sun to Moonlight," Albert’s set combined Afro percussion, tropical rhythms, and a visual narrative that followed a journey from day into night.
The lighting gradually evolved from warm, bright tones into deeper and more dramatic atmospheres, creating the feeling of a celebration that continued through all hours of the day.
The result was an experience that conveyed movement, energy, transformation, and renewal.
Bruno: Designing an Atmosphere, Not Just a Stage
For the third set, the concept was to make the environment itself the protagonist.
Inspired by the concept "Tech House. Float into the Vibe," the combination of lighting, neon tones, and atmospheric effects created an illusory experience where the space appeared to constantly change shape.
Smoke became more than a technical effect; it served as a three-dimensional canvas that intensified colors and enhanced the visual depth of the environment.
Light did more than illuminate; it invited the audience to fully lose themselves in the experience.
Fer: When Light Becomes the Story
The celebration concluded with a concept inspired by a phenomenon as simple as it is fascinating: the dispersion of light through a prism.
Under the concept "Rave Energy. The Shape of Light," graphics, projections, and lighting worked together to illustrate how light can transform, fragment, and take on new forms.
Visual patterns constantly evolved as colors emerged, expanded, and recombined in synchronization with the music.
The result, like Bruno’s performance, was a narrative in which light ceased to be a technical resource and became the main character of the story.
